Anti-scaling. It is a fact that mineral buildup or scaling will damage any ionizer – especially in hard water areas. The new BioStone Plus is the first internal ionizer filter to help prevent the damaging effect of hard water scale build-up inside your ionizer before it occurs. This new media is extracted from all natural sources and has also been documented as having antioxidant and detoxifying effects, and also helps to improve the chalky taste of hard water minerals.

Superior Filtration removing more contaminants more effectively

Catalytic Carbon Technology. The new BioStone Plus employs the superior grade catalytic carbon. Catalytic carbon is a specially processed carbon designed to greatly enhance it’s natural ability to promote chemical changes in contaminants. Standard GAC reduces contaminants in two ways. It “adsorbs” chemicals by trapping and holding them, and to a smaller degree, it “chemisorbs” contaminants by changing them to something harmless. Chlorine, for example, can be “catalyzed” to harmless chloride. Catalytic carbon retains conventional carbon’s ability to adsorb contaminants but it also possesses greatly enhanced capacity to catalyze, to promote beneficial chemical reactions. It is by catalytic action that chloramine is reduced.

The catalytic carbon in our BioStone Plus offers you superior performance in the removal of common contaminants such as chlorine and chloramines, VOC’s, pesticides, radon, Trihalomethanes, suspended solids, etc.

Cutting edge KDF Technology. The New and Improved BioStone Plus employs a new, cutting edge KDF technology that offers you many benefits including increased contact time for better contaminant removal, increased flow rates and a greener manufacturing process which produces less waste. This new improved form of KDF offers superior reduction of chlorine and chloramines, the majority of heavy metals (such as iron, mercury and lead) plus manganese and hydrogen sulfides.

Vortex Technology. The body of the new BioStone Plus still incorporates the amazing natural properties of “vortex hydraulics” eliminating the channeling commonly found in GAC.
